Terms of use
Last updated: 3 October 2026
These terms apply to everyone who uses the Chough Chat app. Chough Chat is provided by One Local (Entrepreneurship Enterprises Ltd), United Kingdom ("we", "us"). By signing in you agree to them. Your team (the business that gave you an account) may also have its own workplace rules.
1. Your account
- Accounts are created by your team's dispatcher. Keep your password private and don't share your account.
- Shared outlet tablet accounts are for that outlet's staff only.
- You can delete your account at any time in the app (profile, then Delete my account).
2. Zero tolerance for abuse and objectionable content
Chough Chat is a workplace tool. You must not use it to send content that is abusive, threatening, harassing, hateful, discriminatory, sexually explicit, violent, illegal, or that shares someone else's personal information without a good reason. We have no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users.
- Long-press any message to report it or hide that person's messages.
- Reports go to your team's dispatch straight away. Reported content is reviewed within 24 hours. Content that breaks these terms is removed, and the person who sent it can be removed from Chough Chat.
- You can also report problems to support@one-local.co.uk.
3. Using the service
- Use Chough Chat only for your team's delivery work and in line with the law.
- Don't try to access chats or accounts you haven't been given, interfere with the service, or reverse-engineer it.
- Don't use the app while driving in a way that breaks road safety law. Pull over first, or use voice features only where it is legal and safe.
4. Your content
You keep responsibility for the messages you send. You allow us to store and show them to the people in your chats so the service works. Messages form part of your team's working record (see the privacy policy).
5. Availability
We work hard to keep Chough Chat running, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. Don't rely on it as your only way to handle emergencies.
6. Ending access
Your team or we may suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms. You can stop using Chough Chat and delete your account at any time.
7. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law. Otherwise, we are not liable for indirect losses or for losses caused by how your team uses the service.
8. Changes and law
We may update these terms and will change the date above when we do. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
